6:45 – 7:00 – Principal’s Report
- Referendum PASSED!! Thank you to everyone who supported the referendum – we saw support in many different ways, and this will benefit our school and our children GREATLY! We don’t take your support for granted,
- Next steps will be building the programs, staffing and changes that the funds will allow us to make. We will move to 1.0 FTE for gifted and talented.
- Magician for the assembly went great – kids loved it and had a wonderful time. 45 minutes of FUN – kids gave tons of compliments and had a blast.
- Assemblies are so important to the school climate and culture and it’s a fantastic opportunity for the kids to get together.
- Pie in the face (Mr. Morse’s Face!) will happen on Friday, 11/14. Will be live streamed via google meet to the classes.
- Pete is meeting with the district parent education coordinator to talk about cell phone usage, as well as human growth and development. More info will be shared as things are solidified.
- BELT committee met today and discussed ways to get more parents and caregivers into the building. Every grade level will aim to host something in the Spring of 2026 to highlight various initiatives. More to come.
- Over the next 2 years, we will have a large capital improvement project happening in the Jonathan building. There will be a refresh of all the hallways, bathrooms, the gym will get Air Conditioning, etc. The drawings are beautiful, and the lighting and tile will change in many spaces. Will start this summer, pause during next school year, and then pick it back up the following summer.
- Question was asked if shatter-proof film is being considered for safely reasons. Pete will check into that.
- The building reno timeline DOES mean that Summer Club Care will not be here at JES the summer of 2026.
- 5th grade parents received communications around increased instances of identity harm taking place in that class. The class was brought together to learn about the damage such instances could do and was led by a DEI facilitator. The class was highly engaged. Gave the class ways to call out inappropriate comments you hear others make and resources to ask for help if they are not comfortable doing so.
- Cell phone should stay in backpacks during school – if not, it gets taken away.
- Watches should not be used to gaming or messaging during school – it that happens, it will get taken away.
- If kids aren’t feeling well, they should see the nurse, NOT text their parents.
- Parents – please communicate through the office if you need to get a message to your child.
7:00 – 7:05 - Treasurer’s Update
- Read-a-thon NET total was just over $41,000
- Mascot Costume Update
- Reminder to submit company match requests! – please check to see if your company matches – it is easy and can DOUBLE your money!
- Next big night is 11/18 – Culver’s night
- Company sponsorship goal is very close to being met for the year.
- New school furniture order is being locked in
- Other updates including indoor and outdoor learning spaces will be explored.
- BizTown and Winter Camp are in the budget for this year

7:05 – 7:25 PTO Team Updates
- Conference Meals update/recap
- Meals were very much appreciated! Jets pizza was well received.
- Will continue to look at new options for next year.

- Sign-ups for 4th and 5th Grader volunteers are still needed

7:25-7:30 - Open Forum - Questions, Feedback, Concerns….
- Krista will start sourcing giveaways for the teacher drawings. Those take place the Friday after Xmas break, drawing happens every Friday until Spring Break for the teachers.
- Bountiful Baskets will benefit from our food drive taking place now through 11/25.

- CAP Agency https://capagency.org/adopt-a-senior/ has many programs for people to donate to including adopt-a-senior
