6:45 – 7:00 – Principal’s Report
- Dolly – 2nd therapy dog is in the building this week – getting acclimated to school and kids
- E-learning plan is in place if needed – would be implemented after 2 true “snow days” have taken place
- Attendance would be taken by way of the students engaging with the content/choice boards assigned by their teacher, etc.
- We’ll be going into a 2-year building project. In the beginning of May, Gym, Band spaces will be impacted, which will impact band and choir concerts.
- Band concert will take place at Chaska High School
- Choir concert TBD
- Request made to see if we could use risers onstage to see students better
- Due to construction, JES will NOT be a Club Care Site this summer.

- 15-minute conferences, instead of 20 minutes this round

- We acknowledge that the past week has been hard for many members of our community including those at JES – ALL ARE WELCOME AT JES
- The group as a whole discussed ways to get involved by supporting our families being affected by the current situation and unrest in MN:
- Group felt strongly we would like to try to support the families in the JES orbit who may be affected
- We will have a way to incorporate some type of supply drive into the Winter Event and collect items
- We will also make a donation from the PTO budget to help where needed
- Will be exploring what items are most needed, gathering supplies, and a list of organizations that could use our help – more info to be communicated soon.

7:00 – 7:05 - Treasurer’s Update
- Culver’s night raised $828
- Close to our goal on the food truck
- Jersey Mike’s should be a great night on 1/14
- New Mascot costume to be unveiled at Winter Event
- Need Volunteer and assistant to help guide them
- Teacher conference meal budget will be increased

- We have a new contact for T-shirt printing – better pricing
- Reminder to submit Employer Match requests if you donated to the fundraiser.
- Some companies also reward employees for volunteering at or with a non-profit with a monetary donation to your choice of organization. May be worth checking in with your company to see if they offer any type of program like that.
- CPA/Tax Support – looking for anyone qualified that would be willing to help file PTO taxes in future years – please reach out to the PTO if you or someone you know is willing to help.

Material Needs
- If you have any of the following to donate, please drop them off at the office labeled JES PTO
- Small bingo prizes
- Paper, glue sticks, stickers, markers, crayons, etc.
Volunteers Needed – sign up HERE for a 30-minute shift if you are able to.
It gives the committee a chance to enjoy the event with their families as well!

Color Run – 5/15 –
- Call for Committee members – if you are interested in joining the committee – please reach out to the PTO
- Theme will need to be decided by end-of-month
- T-shirt design competition for 4th and 5th graders will take place later this Spring – more info to come.
7:25-7:30 - Open Forum - Questions, Feedback, Concerns….
- 5/4 – 5/8 Staff appreciation – donations welcome
- Diggity Pillows – Diggity is currently on maternity leave with his human – the PTO will purchase pillows or stuffies that can act as a stand-in while he is out.
